Breath Meditation

Breath Meditation
April 14, 2013 Brian E. Miller

“Focusing on the breath helps us to gain greater concentration, become more relaxed and less neurotic, creates greater clarity of mind, but best of all creates the habit for peace and mindfulness.  We live in a world of almost constant distraction creating much dis-ease within our minds. We will readily clean our bodies before going to work or out into the world, but rarely do we take the time to clean our minds, in fact we usually dirty them with busyness before heading out, with distractions of media, thoughts and so on. Doing this breath meditation (which you can download for free as an MP3 at www.brianemillerbooks.com) you can begin to train your mind to be more focused and mindful of the peace and clarity and abundance that is in every moment. You will literally restructure your brain to be able to concentrate more easily. As you become more present you will dramatically drop your stress levels creating not only more success in all you do, but the ability to enjoy all you do, as mindfulness of present moment is key to reducing anxiety and all the other culprits of a busy mind that rob you from your peace and ability to tap into the joy all around you. Studies show that people are drawn to individuals who are more centered and relaxed, it’s because they exude that outward, the same is true for neurosis and anxiety.

This meditation is designed for all levels of mediators. For beginners who wish to start with five minutes and work their way up to 20, there is a bell that rings at each five-minute interval allowing you the ability to work you way up to 20 minutes. It is much easier to meditate for 20 minutes when it is guided, so by all means go for the full 20 from the start if you wish.

The underlying music in the meditation is a theta frequency, which is designed to allow the mind to more easily sink into a deep state of meditation. Thank you and ENJOY!”  Brian E. Miller
