Scorpio Season: Facing the Fears

By in Mastershift

Every year from approximately October 23rd until November 21st the Sun travels through the constellation of Scorpio. This is what many people call Scorpio Season and it’s no coincidence that it’s also a spooky time of year.

This energy asks us to get up close and personal with our fears. Whatever we are resisting will become clear over the next few weeks.

The major theme here is transformation. We must let go of what is no longer serving us in order to step fully into our potential; the thing is that can be nerve wracking. It’s true that this energy is not for the faint at heart but it’s crucial not to let ourselves get worked up.

Ultimately this is a time to open the door on our fears.

Let’s imagine there’s a scratching on our door and we don’t know who it is. It’s easy to default to fearing the unknown. Perhaps we think that it’s someone there to hurt us and we hide away from the noise. However this time of year is ideal for getting up and seeing who is causing the disturbance.

Of course we will feel vulnerable as we walk across the room and prepare to open the door. However relief will surge through us when we realize it was just a puppy wanting to play.

That’s the analogy to hold onto this month. The scratching (aka our fears) aren’t always what we think. Maybe we don’t have to give our power away and hide anymore. Maybe we have the strength (Jupiter in Scorpio is helping us) to take a look at what’s actually going on.

There’s blessings on the other side of the door. Yet in order to get to them we must commit to transforming.

What old fears are we ready to alchemize?

This is the perfect time to contemplate and then go for it.
