Is it Time to Heal Your Legacy?

By in Healing

Many of us don’t know our grandparents much less our great grandparents. But they are very much a part of us. Their stories, pain and successes are stored in our DNA.

We inherit a legacy from our family that affects our energy, health and potential for change in each generation.

If our family legacy is not acknowledged it can create obstacles in our lives.

Family Secrets
I didn’t know about my family’s history until my younger brother committed suicide in 1992.

Something within me wanted answers beyond the fact that he lost hope in life. It was his second suicide attempt, yet no one in my family could tell me what his diagnosis was. My family wouldn’t dare suggest that he had a mental illness. They concluded that he was moody and they conjured up reasons to prove their own assessment.

To me it seemed nonsensical, actually downright ignorant, but I was persistent in getting my questions answered!

I borrowed countless books on mental illness from the library and shared my findings with my family. Still no one wanted to talk about my brother’s death, except my father, who listed cousins who committed suicide by anorexia or manic depression, which is known as bipolar.

I wondered the reason it was the first that I learned of these cousin’s and I also wondered the reason that mental illness predominately affected the males on my father’s side of the family.

Ancestral healing
Fast forward to 23 years later I opened my Akashic records—a vibrational archive of every soul and its journey through time and space, also known as The Book of Life in the bible.
When I asked for help to see a limiting pattern that I inherited from my ancestors, almost immediately my great grandmother on my father’s side appeared.

As I was shown images from the 15th Century in the West Indies I felt an ache in my soul and an immense sorrow.

It became evident the reason that mental illness has plagued my family for generations. I also discovered that I had inherited a similar experience that created fears and core limiting beliefs in my relationships with men.

Acknowledging the pattern in my own life helped me connect with my great grandmother and foremother’s unresolved emotional issues, problems and trauma.

I then expressed love, compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness to my great grandmother and sent her back to the light before closing the records.

After the reading I experienced a shift energetically and I felt as if a burden was lifted off of me.

Newfound freedom

When we release judgement of the inherited pattern, we make peace with the past and lift the shame that was passed down through generations.

We also release repeated patterns that are hindering our path and prevent us from moving forward because they no longer serve us.

With a newfound freedom we are able to create solid foundations and have the amazing life we say that we want. Ancestral healing not only benefits you, it benefits everyone in your lineage—you heal 7 generations back and 7 generations ahead.

I want to hear from you!

Do you know the history of your ancestors?

Are you experiencing repeated patterns that are keeping you stuck?
