Is our Society Spiritually Starved for Authenticity and Trust?

Is our Society Spiritually Starved for Authenticity and Trust?

Don’t buy the lie!  The counterfeit happiness promised by frauds only leads to despair and distress!  I want to shout it from the roof tops!  Don’t buy the lie!

In my business and the business of living I am becoming more acutely aware of a new disease starving our society like a spiritual leprosy.  People are starving for authentic individuals they can trust to tell them the truth without a hidden agenda.  Real people seem to be rare breed to find in today’s fast paced life of shinny objects.  Glittery people, places and things which only deliver counterfeit happiness.

Can’t you recognize it all over social media?  People are impressed with how many followers you have on twitter when they simply purchase thousands of phony bots.  Everyone has to check how many people like your Facebook page, never realizing many have merely purchase thousands of fake fans.   How many experts claim to have all the answers to solve your problems when they can’t even keep their own family together?  I am sure you are thinking of a quite a few of your own real-life examples while reading.

So what the heck happened to our society?

Have we become so enamored with the outside that we have forgotten the greatest value is only discovered within?  Wake up being grateful for these most priceless gifts; food, shelter and health.

Best seller books, box office movies, hit songs on the charts, they all become that way because people are searching for the authentically that cuts into the core of the soul.  Inner emotions, challenges, fears, doubts and dreams which you can connect with and relate to in a tangible living way.  You trust that the message is true for you, and it moves you to change and grow and seek and find answers to your most important life questions and difficult challenges.

So why do we buy the lie that internal peace we seek could ever possibly come from any amount of external looks, popular fame, or financial fortune?  Why do we set ourselves up for inevitable failure?

How’s that been working for you?

I am going to propose we have forgotten our own mortality.  We have forgotten no one is staying in the skin suit on planet earth.  We have fooled ourselves into believing that this is all there is.  We have forgotten about life after life.

My hope is this:  that you recognize you are a genuine gift to the world that desperately needs you to unwrap yourself. That you share your one-of-a-kind shine with the world, and give away your personal brand of love and healing which no one else is able to create.  That you focus on the only genuine treasures you will ever be able to possess; your time and talents.  Please prioritize your life accordingly.
